So you say if I don't vote then it shows I do not care

To that I ask if you believe democracy is fair

Could I win the next election with my morals still in tact

Or is the way we rise above to scratch the devils back

You tell me that I'm jaded and a rebel with no cause

Well since I lack direction please enlighten me with yours

Political agenda has been twisted just to serve

Those who claim entitlement for all they don't deserve

Have we lost control?

So you started out with good intent your morals set in stone

But quickly realised you'd never make it on your own

It couldn't hurt to take a bribe when reasons are so pure

But corruption is an illness one for which there is no cure

So yes I give a fuck about political disease

And no I will not cast my vote to put your mind at ease

Perhaps if everybody wasn't forced upon their knees

Then we'd tell you to go fuck yourself with your democracy
