The Crooks formed in London in the late 1970s with Adam Ant on vocals, Marco Pirroni on guitar, Dave Barbarossa on bass, and Andy "Rat" Ward on drums. Their song "She Walks Alone" became a hit that reached international audiences. They put out albums like Kings of the Wild Frontier in 1980 and Prince Charming in 1981.
Internal conflicts led to lineup changes, with Barbarossa and Ward leaving the band. They continued recording into the mid-1980s with albums like Vive Le Rock. The group eventually dissolved by the late 1980s.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
