Trapped in a world where I don’t belong
A whole life spent in search of meaning
I now distance myself from this abode of suffering
Nothing matters, apart from my unending solitude
Hopelessness troubles again my soul
As I walk past the cemetery gates
My mind longs for shelter
As madness tears my soul
A soothing rain falls upon
The damp crypts, crumpled by time
They encase lives gone, drowned by sorrow
Their uneasy spirits roam about their resting place
I can’t help but wonder
About the countless waste of lives
Where are they going?
Where do they come from?
(Will we ever know?)
Sobbing breaks the dreary silence
Loved ones mourn their loss
Their grief… So real
Will their dead truly rest in peace?
A stone prison will be my final stop
A guardhouse built, brick by brick, by sin
A place of suffering
My garden of silence
