The Deuce Project formed in Los Angeles around 2009 with Adam LaVorgna on vocals, Chris Villa on guitar, Paul Norris on bass, and Mike Roach on drums. Their debut single 'Stone Cold' got them some early attention. They put out a second album called 'The Other Side' a few years later.
In 2012, the band had some public trouble with canceled tours and talk of internal problems. They came back in 2015 with a third album titled 'Phoenix.'
