The Fieros were a British rock band that formed in the late 1960s, originally from Hastings, England. Gary Brooker and Andy Fairweather-Low had previously played together in a duo called The Paramounts before forming the quartet. Their self-titled debut album came out in 1968 on Deram Records.
That album included 'Songbird,' which became their most recognizable track. The song's arrangement featured Brooker's vocals and Fairweather-Low's guitar work. It later appeared in various film and television soundtracks.
After their debut, the band released several more albums through the 1970s, including Crossing the Rubicon, Ark of Time, and Spirit of the Age. Their sound shifted toward more progressive and experimental territory as the decade progressed. The group disbanded in 1977.
