The Fígado were a Portuguese alternative rock band that formed in the early 2000s. They released their self-titled debut album in 2002, followed by 'Estilhaços' in 2003. The group consisted of Pedro Gonçalves on vocals and guitar, Luís Caldas on guitar and vocals, Marco Santos on bass, and Vasco Morgado on drums.
Their song 'Fera Away' sparked some debate in Portugal about youth alienation. The band's lyrics often dealt with social and political themes, which drew both attention and criticism. They put out several more albums including 'Puto Som' in 2005 and 'Aqui Dentro' in 2007.
In 2008, a public dispute between Gonçalves and Caldas led to the band breaking up. They attempted a reunion in 2010 with the album 'Até ao Fim', but haven't been active since. Other songs in their catalog include 'I wanna Malta and fuck your mother' and 'Larva Da Salada'.
