Songs like 'Engine 45' showed their mix of heavy instrumentation and personal lyrics.
In November 2015, the band's tour bus was involved in a serious accident that killed Tkaczyk and bassist Jim Riley. The surviving members were injured, and the group went quiet for several years. They returned in 2019 with a self-titled album that reached number one on Billboard's Hard Rock chart.
The band's lineup changed after the accident, with Chris Davis joining on guitar and Nathan Young on bass. They've worked with other musicians occasionally, like Jamey Jasta on 'Stay the Night.' Their catalog includes albums such as 'Get What You Give' and 'Dear Youth' alongside 'Returners' and their 2019 release.
