The Guinea Pigs formed in Manchester in the early 1980s. Their debut album 'Outcasts' came out in 1984, followed by 'Alone' in 1986. The band's lineup included John Smithson on vocals, Mark Thompson on guitar, Peter Jones on bass, and Dave Williams on drums.
Their song 'Alone' became their most recognizable track. Other songs in their catalog include 'Arrested Somewhere,' 'Deep Pain,' and 'Esperando Pelos Meus Sonhos.'
They released several albums through the 1980s and 1990s, including 'The Other Side' in 1988 and 'Live at the Cavern' in 1990. The band recorded a later album called 'Revival' in 2000.
