The Helldozers

The Helldozers formed in the mid-1980s with a lineup that included Seth Hayes on vocals, Dino Romano on lead guitar, Greg Warren on rhythm guitar, Eric Jackson on bass, and Tony Mitchell on drums. They released their debut album 'Hell on Earth' in 1987, which featured the track 'Black to Hell' that became something of an underground anthem.

That song, along with others like 'Burn' and 'Hate Sweet Hate,' helped define their sound, heavy, straightforward metal with aggressive vocals and driving rhythms. They followed up with several more albums through the 1990s, including 'Death Machine' in 1989, 'Apocalypse' in 1992, and 'Hellfire' in 1995.

Their lyrics and stage shows drew criticism from some quarters, but they maintained a steady presence in the metal scene. Songs like 'Desert Rider' and 'Don't Stop To Hate Me' continued in the same vein as their earlier work, keeping their core audience engaged without dramatically shifting their approach.
