The Hellos

The Hellos formed in 2010 when Dustin Lovelis, Amy Godwin, and Michael Brun met at a songwriting retreat. Lovelis handles lead vocals and guitar, Godwin contributes harmonies and piano, and Brun adds percussion and synths. Their name came from a simple belief in connection and warm encounters.

Their debut album was self-titled, and they followed it with records like "Euphonic," "Quartet," and "Songs for the Living." Their sound mixes acoustic folk with atmospheric electronics, sometimes bringing in chamber pop touches or traditional instruments. One of their songs is "On The Mountain Tall."

Lovelis writes most of their lyrics, which tend to look at everyday human experiences, love, relationships, the small moments that add up. The music doesn't shout; it unfolds quietly, with harmonies that feel close and arrangements that leave room to breathe.
