They worked with producer Leroy Holmes, who helped shape their sound. Their 1968 single 'Yesterday' became their biggest hit, reaching the top of the R&B charts that year. The song's title led to some comparisons with The Beatles' earlier hit of the same name, though the Hesitations' version was a different composition.
Beyond 'Yesterday,' they recorded other songs like 'I'm Not Ready,' 'Love for My Baby,' and 'See What You Done.' They released albums including 'Soul Satisfaction' and a self-titled record. The group disbanded in the 1970s, after which the members pursued other musical and professional work.
