The Ivy League formed in 1996 with Adam Schlesinger, Chris Collingwood, Matthew Sharp, and Kevin Cadogan. Their debut album came out in 1999, and its lead single 'Funny How Love Can Be' became a hit. Rolling Stone noted their crisp harmonies and infectious hooks around that time.
Cadogan left the band in 2001, and Tom Greenhalgh joined on keyboards. Their second album was called 'In the Clear.' The cover art for that record drew some criticism for its depiction of a young woman, which the band addressed.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
