The Knux were a duo of brothers, Kris and James Ellis, who started making music together around 2003. Their sound mixed hip-hop with rock and soul, and they got some attention with their 2008 single '1974 (feat. Natalia Kills).' They released three albums: their self-titled debut in 2008, 'Eraser' in 2011, and 'Alpha Noir' in 2015.
Kris Ellis, who also went by Lord O, handled most of the vocals and lyrics. James Ellis produced the music and played instruments. Other songs from their catalog include 'Daddy's Little Girl,' 'BANG! BANG!,' and 'Cappuccino.'
The group went on hiatus after 2015. Kris has released solo material as Lord O, and James has worked with other artists on production.
