The Lathums formed in Wigan in 2018 around singer-songwriter Alex Moore and guitarist Scott Concepcion, with drummer Ryan Durrans and bassist Johnny Cunliffe completing the lineup. They started playing shows locally and released their debut EP 'Crying Out' the following year.

Their first album 'How Beautiful Life Can Be' came out in 2020, with the single 'Fight On' getting attention for its straightforward, resilient tone. The band followed it with a second album in 2022 called 'From Nothing to a Little Bit More,' which included songs like 'All My Life' and 'The Great Escape.'
