Their debut album 'Cockadoodle Hill' came out in 1995, and they followed it with records like 'Psychobilly Freakout' in 1997 and 'The Haunted Hotel' in 1999. Their sound mixed psychobilly, rockabilly, and punk, with songs like 'Blood on The Bluegrass' and 'Agony Wagon' showing their raw approach.
Wilkes has been the consistent member through various lineup changes that included musicians like guitarist David Lee, bassist Mark Robertson, and drummer Buzz Campbell. They worked with artists such as Buckwheat Zydeco and Tom Waits, and Wilkes has also pursued solo work outside the band. Their 2012 album 'Cockadoodle Hill 2' continued their run of releases.
