The Lemon Twigs are brothers Brian and Michael D'Addario from Long Island, New York. They started playing music early and put out their first album, "Do Hollywood," in 2016. Their sound pulls from progressive rock and pop, with a theatrical edge that can feel both ambitious and accessible.
In 2018, they released "How Lucky Am I?," a song that caught on with its bright melody and earnest lyrics. It became one of their better-known tracks, alongside others like "I Wanna Prove To You" and "Queen Of My School." That same year, their album "Go to School" built on the attention.
They've kept putting out records, including "Songs for the General Public" in 2020 and "Vivaldi in the Park" in 2022. Along the way, they've worked with other artists like Jarvis Cocker and Charlotte Gainsbourg, though their music remains mostly their own creation.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
