Archive material and source history
The Lord Narco formed in 2006 with brothers Luis and Juan Carlos González and their cousin Miguel Ángel from Ponce, Puerto Rico. They worked in reggaeton with some contemporary urban touches.
In 2017, their song "Despaxito" became a global hit, reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100 with help from Justin Bieber. It was the first Spanish-language track to top that chart.
After that success, they put out a few more records like "Corazón" in 2017 and "Baila Conmigo" in 2018. Another track, "Sonhos," also appears in their catalog. The group eventually disbanded amid internal conflicts and the pressures that followed their sudden fame.
