The Macrobats formed in the early 1990s around vocalist and guitarist Cameron Cooper, with drummer Adrian Dale, bassist Jake Hargrave, and lead guitarist Mia Rosen. Their debut album was called 'Violets in the Rain,' and they later released 'Static on the Radio' and 'White Lines.'
Their song 'I'll Do It Again' became their most recognizable track, alongside 'One I Can't Ignore' and 'Weymouth.' The band's lyrics sometimes drew criticism for their directness, but they generally kept working without much public drama about it.
Cameron Cooper wrote most of their material and handled lead vocals. Adrian Dale played drums, Jake Hargrave was on bass, and Mia Rosen contributed guitar work. They made a few albums together before eventually going their separate ways.
