The Mads formed in 1987 with Pedro Ayres Magalhães on vocals, Miguel Pedro on lead guitar, Luís Represas on rhythm guitar, and João Veiga on bass. Their debut album 'Voo Direto' came out in 1991 and included the song 'Ainda Bem Você.'
Represas left the band in 1992, but the others kept going. They put out records like 'Sob o Signo de Aquário' in 1993 and 'Lisboa' in 1996. In 2003, Magalhães faced domestic violence allegations, and the band took a break before returning.
They've released nine studio albums, including 'O Manual' from 2009. Some of their other songs are 'Where Is My Life,' 'Acima de tudo,' 'Aprendiz,' and 'Arte do Nexo.'
