The Merrymen were a quartet from the Philippines. Their version of "Yesterday" with Emile Starker on vocals became a well-known track in the late 1980s. The group included Rico J. Puno on lead vocals, Ernie Matias on guitar, Dino Guevarra on bass, and Danilo Bustamante on drums.
They released several albums around that time, including "Yesterday" in 1987 and "Forever" the following year. A compilation called "The Best of The Merrymen" came out in 1990.
