I could hear you laughing

When the pigeons got your napkin

You were barefoot in the blades of grass

I swear I can still hear you laugh

Picking berries off the vine

Remember in the winter time

It looked like they were dying

As the Moon starts to rise up tonight

We’ll look up at the flashing lights

Wave as they fly away across the sky

Wonder who is up there in the planes

Looking through the telescope

Asking questions no one knows

I make up the answers

You said the stars were tiny dancers

You look so much bigger now

Time goes by so fast somehow

Back down toward the Chesapeake
