The Nascent Season formed in the early 2000s with Aria Lyre on vocals, Orion Key on guitar, Celeste Bass on bass, and Zephyr Drums on drums. Their debut album 'Origins' came out in 2001 and included 'For Your Eyes Only,' which became their breakout single. They followed it with 'Whispers from Eternity' in 2004 and 'The Edge of Dawn' in 2008.
Their sound had a certain ethereal quality, with Lyre's soprano voice floating over Key's guitar work. 'Sail Away' was another track that captured their style. They put out a compilation called 'Echoes of the Past' in 2012.
Like many bands, they dealt with personal issues behind the scenes. Lyre struggled with addiction, and Key faced creative blocks at times. These challenges were part of their story, though they kept making music through it.
