The Original Casuals formed in London in 1977, with Colin Faver on vocals, Steve Springett on guitar, Alan Alberquerque on bass, and John Green on drums. They were part of that late-70s punk surge, playing a straightforward, aggressive style. Their debut album 'So Tough' came out in 1979, and the title track became one of their better-known songs.
They put out a few more records in the early 80s, like 'Out of Control' in 1981 and 'Military Madness' the following year. The band's lyrics sometimes dealt with political themes and authority, which fit the general mood of the time. They weren't the biggest name in punk, but they had a solid run during those years.
