They brought in drummer Chris O'Brien and released their self-titled debut album in 2009. The record mixed indie pop with folk and soul touches, which drew some early attention.
Their song 'My Darling Forever' became their most recognizable track, though it was briefly caught up in plagiarism claims in 2012. The band also had to pause for a bit after DeLeon's drug possession arrest in 2011. They kept recording after that, putting out songs like 'Angel Baby' and 'Down To Love Town'.
