The Pleasure Seekers were a rock band from Los Angeles that formed in the late 1960s. Their lineup included Suzi Quatro on bass and vocals, Patti Quatro on drums, and Nancy Tedesco on lead guitar. They played local clubs with a raw, energetic style that some found provocative.
In 1973, they released their debut single "What a Way to Die." The song had a driving rhythm and defiant lyrics that connected with listeners, particularly in Europe and Australia where it became a top-ten hit. This gave the band some international recognition and led to touring.
The band broke up in 1975. Afterward, Suzi Quatro pursued a solo career, Nancy Tedesco worked as a songwriter and producer, and Patti Quatro continued drumming. Their music, especially "What a Way to Die," still gets played and remembered by fans of that era.
