The three of us sit broken, in disregard of the day,

Throwing stones in water, as your father fades away.

I say, "I'm here for the best, and when you're falling apart."

You wouldn't say we were blessed, like we thought from the start.

The night time does it's talking, because we don't have any words,

I think we're praying to God, but you say you feel unsure,

so we're asking,

"Is this all we need?

I'm giving up on sleep, because all I get are bad dreams

It's him and two bad inches in a hospital bed.

He's mortal and unknowing, we're calloused and misled.
