They kept recording through the next decade, putting out 'The Healing' in 2008, 'Gotta Get Gone' in 2010, and 'III' in 2013.
Gordon Gano handled lead vocals and guitar, with Matt Dowling on bass, Eric Heigle on drums, Jeff Taylor on keyboards, and Dave O'Connor on guitar. Their song 'I Had a Real Good Lover' gives a sense of their style, direct and energetic, with Gano's voice up front.
They worked through some early lineup changes and financial strain, which isn't unusual for a band starting out. What they left behind is a handful of records that show a group figuring out how to blend those different sounds without smoothing over the rough edges.
