Their sound has moved through different phases, from the ethereal electronica and soulful R&B of that first album to the more experimental rhythms of 2017's 'Vertigo'. By 2020's 'Echoes', they were blending folk, electronic, and ambient elements. Songs like 'Dark Room' and 'Dirty Sheets' show their range.
Early on, they faced some skepticism about their unconventional approach. There was also a plagiarism allegation in 2016 concerning the song 'Celestial', though they were cleared after an investigation.
