The Trews formed in Antigonish, Nova Scotia in 2002. Their debut album 'House of Ill Fame' came out in 2005, and its title track became a chart-topping single that won them a Juno Award for Video of the Year.
They've released several albums since then, including 'No Time for Later' in 2008, 'Hope & Ruin' in 2011, and 'Time Capsule' in 2014. Some of their better-known songs include 'Ana & Mia,' 'I Can't Stop Laughing,' and 'Be Love.'
In 2009, lead singer Colin MacDonald was diagnosed with Crohn's disease, which led to some tour cancellations. The band's 2015 song 'Ana & Mia' addresses eating disorders.
