The Ugly formed in London in 1969, coming out of the city's underground scene. Their song 'Do Your Job' became their most recognizable track, though they also recorded others like 'Spark Away' and 'Walk Alone.'
Simon 'Sid' Vicious was the band's vocalist and lyricist. Their music had a raw, confrontational quality that drew attention from both fans and authorities during their active years.
They released several albums including 'The Ugly' in 1970 and 'Do Your Job' in 1972. The band broke up in 1977, and Vicious died two years later in 1979.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
