The Vane formed in London around the mid-2000s with Tom Smith on vocals and guitar, Jesse Quin on bass, Danny Coughlan on drums, and Dave Baxter on keyboards. Their debut album 'No Break' came out in 2007, featuring the title track that became a staple of their early sound. They followed it with albums like 'The Devil's Advocate' in 2012 and 'Love, Loss, and Revolution' in 2016.

In 2009, bassist Jesse Quin left the band and was replaced by Nick Bright. Their song 'Room No. 303' appears among their top tracks, along with 'Hallucination' and 'Tunnel'. They've continued releasing music, putting out 'Shadow of the Sun' in 2020 and 'Echoes of Time' in 2023.
