A Brazilian group that started in local clubs and broke through with songs like 'Acredite em Mim.'
If you're new to The Vox, start with 'Acredite em Mim' and 'Passos Errados.' Those two give you a good sense of what they were doing.
They formed in São Paulo in 1983 with four members: Renato Torres, Marcelo Bonfá, Ricardo Silveira, and Rodrigo Tavares. After playing local clubs and festivals, they got signed in 1987 and released their self-titled debut the following year. They kept making music through the 1990s despite some internal tensions later in the decade.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
