The Way formed in Austin, Texas around the mid-1990s with Tony Scalzo, Miles Zuniga, and Joey Shuffield. Their 1998 single "Fastball" became a radio staple, pulling them into wider recognition. That song anchored their debut album, also called "The Way."
They followed up with "All the Pain Money Can Buy" later in 1998, then put out "The Way Alternative" in 1999. By 2000, they'd released "Goodbye and Goodnight." Their catalog includes songs like "Demorô," "Palavras," "De Olhos Fechados," and "Jack's Song."
Scalzo handled vocals and lyrics, Zuniga played guitar, and Shuffield was on drums. The band kept that lineup through their active years.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
