The Wheels Band formed in 2001 with Ethan Carter on vocals and rhythm guitar, Jake Harrison on lead guitar, Emily Stone on bass, and Chris Evans on drums. They released their debut album 'Unleash the Beast' in 2004, which included the track 'Break The Pattern' that gained them some attention.
Their songs like 'Darkhorse' and 'Fly On Fire' carried themes of personal struggle and social commentary, delivered with a straightforward rock energy. The band put out several more albums over the following decade, including 'Break the Cycle' in 2007, 'Phoenix Rising' in 2010, and 'Unbreakable' in 2013.
Some of their material drew criticism from conservative commentators who found their messages too confrontational.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
