The White Birch formed around vocalist and guitarist Peter Adams, bassist Mark Anderson, and drummer Christopher Wright. Their song 'Breathe' became their most recognizable track, though the band also recorded material like 'Atlantis' and 'Beauty King.'
Early on, they faced financial difficulties that required balancing music with day jobs. At one point, plagiarism allegations surfaced regarding a song called 'Silent Echoes,' which the band denied. They weathered that period and kept working.
Their debut album was called 'Whispers of the Heart.' Later releases included 'Shadows and Light' and 'Ashes and Embers,' which incorporated more pop and electronic elements alongside their folk-rock foundation.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
