The Wiggles formed in Australia in 1991 with Anthony Field, Murray Cook, Greg Page, and Jeff Fatt. Their 1995 album 'Big Red Car' became a major success. Their music, like 'Walk' and 'Five Little Monkeys,' uses simple, catchy melodies and upbeat rhythms aimed at young children.
Their live shows feature colorful costumes and encourage audience participation. The group has released dozens of albums over the decades. In 2006, Greg Page left due to health issues, and the remaining members continued performing.
In 2021, the group faced criticism after it was revealed they had used backing tracks during some live performances. This led to a temporary break and a shift toward more live instrumentation. The current lineup includes Field, Cook, Fatt, Lachlan Gillespie, and Simon Pryce.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
