Archive material and source history
The Wildcardz formed in Los Angeles in the late 1990s with Alex King on vocals, Jake Miller on guitar, Mark Ryan on bass, and Matt Carter on drums. Their debut album 'Everything's Fine' came out in 2001 and included the single 'All In,' which got regular radio play. They put out a few more albums over the next several years, like 'Second Chance' in 2004 and 'Unbreakable' in 2007.
There were some lineup changes along the way. Ryan left in 2008 and was replaced by Emily Jones on bass. Carter departed in 2014, with Sam Smith taking over on drums. The band released another album called 'The Comeback' in 2018.
