The Yayhoos were a garage rock band that formed in the mid-1960s, originally with Phil Volk on vocals, John Vitti on guitar, Donnie Weaver on bass, and Tim Bogert on drums. They put out their debut single 'Baby I Love You' in 1965, which caught some attention. Bogert left the following year and was replaced by Gary Philips.

In 1968 they released a self-titled album that included 'Baby I Love You' along with other tracks. The band broke up in the early 1970s, and members went on to other projects, Volk formed The Seeds of Time, while Weaver and Vitti worked on solo material.
