The Dream Quest

A dreamer dreams of a place beyond

a distant city now hidden by the gods

And as he wakes tears fill his eyes

There must be a way to reach this paradise

So tonight in his sleep he will devise

His path to reach atop Kadath and rise

Past the sea, beyond the mountains

To the plains of Leng

Traveling to a distant shore, past ancient Celephais

to the strange port city where black galleys wait

But young Carters journey is not at an end

at the ends of this world he will find himself

He will see the things no man alive has ever seen

and witness the end of this dream.
