Their sound pulls from Afro-Brazilian rhythms like samba, axé, and ijexá, alongside pop, soul, and funk. The core members include lead singer and composer Kiko Melo, guitarist André Lima, bassist Jardel Costa, drummer Marcos 'Macarrão' Sena, and keyboardist Fábio Badell. They work collaboratively.
After their debut, they released albums like 'Ponto de Mutação' in 2010, 'Salve' in 2013, 'Coração de Pedra' in 2017, and 'Tempo de Novas Colheitas' in 2020. In 2011, their song 'Lambada dos Novos Tempos' drew criticism for allegedly promoting drug use, which the band defended as social commentary.
