Thexder formed in 2013 with Moriyama Satoshi on vocals and guitar, Kimura Naoya on bass, and Kobayashi Masashi on drums. They released their debut EP 'Yura Yura' in 2015, which gave the band its first real attention.
That title track 'Yura Yura' became their calling card, a dreamy indie rock song with swirling guitars and a hypnotic rhythm. It earned them a following and some critical notice, especially after the release of a visually striking music video.
After the EP, they put out the albums 'Reverie' in 2017 and 'Nautilus' in 2019, followed by the 'Celestial' EP in 2021. In 2018, they had to cancel a tour due to health issues within the band, but they returned to recording and releasing music afterward.
