Thiago Henrique came up in Brazilian sertanejo music, a style known for its emotional storytelling. He's from Brasília de Minas, a small town where he started playing guitar and singing at local events. His song 'Bar da Sofrencia' became particularly well-known, capturing a certain kind of heartache that resonated with listeners.

That song, along with others like 'Cristo Em Nós' and 'Ana (não vou mais errar)', helped define his place in the genre. He worked with producer Eduardo Pepato early on, and released albums including 'Deserto da Saudade' in 2009 and 'Ao Vivo no Boteco' in 2011.
