Thiago Souza e Rafael are a Brazilian duo who first met as teenagers in São Paulo. They started writing and performing together, eventually releasing their debut album in 2010. That album was titled after their song "Usa e Abusa," which became their most recognizable track.
In 2013, they faced a legal dispute when heirs of singer-songwriter Cazuza claimed "Usa e Abusa" resembled Cazuza's song "Faz Parte do Meu Show." The lawsuit was dismissed, but it became part of their story. They've continued releasing albums since then, including Acústico in 2013 and Alma in 2022.
