Thiago Tomaz Abdelnur is a Brazilian singer and songwriter from São Paulo. He studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston before returning to Brazil to pursue music.
His debut album 'Maria É Meu Ar' came out in 2001, with the title track becoming his most recognized song. He followed it with several other albums including 'Entre o Céu e o Mar' in 2003, 'Na Estrada' in 2005, and 'Meu Corpo, Minha Alma' in 2013.
In 2006, he faced plagiarism accusations regarding the song 'Chamar a Atenção' by the band Angra, though he was eventually cleared of the allegations. He has also drawn attention for his views on social and political matters.
