Forgotten

Sitting alone in the dark once again

No light from above or life from within

Brothers and strangers have all walked away

Valued by none, in this place I will stay

Have you forgotten me my God?

Is this the end of the line?

Days turn to nights, and the nights last so long

Can't remember sunshine

Or the sparrows sweet song

People will laugh

But in this cell my life will not last

Living in fear of dying alone

I see nothing bright and God only knows
