Tiago Araripe started making music in Fortaleza, Brazil. His first album came out in 2003, called "Rosa Sangue." That record mixed pop and rock with some Brazilian traditional sounds.
A few years later, in 2007, he put out "Esfinge." The song became one of his most recognizable tracks, with a kind of haunting quality that stuck with people. He also wrote "Redemoinho" and "Canção do Silêncio," which show up on his list of top songs.
In 2010, there was some noise about a plagiarism claim involving another song called "Olinda." The thing got dismissed, but it was part of the chatter around him for a while. He kept putting out albums after that, including one called "Dhar."
