Archive material and source history
Tiago Carreira is a Portuguese singer-songwriter who first gained attention in 2011 when he appeared on the television talent show The Voice. He didn't win, but the exposure helped him build an audience. In 2013, he released his debut album, which included the song 'É Nesse Bar' that became a hit in Portugal.
His music draws from traditional Portuguese fado as well as international singer-songwriters like Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen. He's released three studio albums so far, including 'Tudo o Que Sonhei' in 2016 and 'Um Dia de Cada Vez' in 2019. Another of his well-known songs is 'Mais Eu Chorei'.
When performing live, he's often accompanied by guitarist Pedro Silva and other musicians. His career has had some setbacks, including a 2015 incident involving driving under the influence, but he's continued to record and perform.
