TIAN formed in Mexico City in the early 2000s with four members: Adrián Quesada on vocals and guitar, David Aguilar on drums, Manuel Garduño on bass, and Luis Gómez on keyboards. They played live shows around the city while developing a sound that mixed Mexican folk with pop and electronic touches.
In 2008, they released the song "Déjalo Ir," which became their most recognizable track. The ballad's success brought wider attention, though it also led to some plagiarism claims that the band denied. They kept recording after that, putting out albums like "Sueño Eléctrico" in 2011 and "Atemporal" in 2015.
TIAN worked with other artists occasionally, including Lila Downs and Manu Chao. Their later releases included "Raíces" in 2018.
