A Brazilian quartet that moved from Afro-Brazilian hits to acoustic intimacy over fifteen years.
For their sound, start with "Cabrobró" and "Conto De Fraldas." The acoustic "Voz e Violão" shows another side.
They found their first real audience with "Cabrobró," a 2009 single that mixed Afro-Brazilian rhythms with a catchy melody and became a hit across Brazil. Songs like "Conto De Fraldas" show their range from samba and MPB to more rock-oriented territory. Their 2019 acoustic set "Voz e Violão" put Ana Carla Maza's voice front and center in a different light.
Tianastácia formed in Rio de Janeiro in 2005 with Ana Carla Maza on vocals, Raphael Bass on bass, Régis Damasceno on guitar, and Thiago Di Sabbato on percussion. Their debut album came out in 2010, followed by "Samba de Verão" in 2013 and "Cabrobró Tropical" in 2016. The acoustic "Voz e Violão" arrived in 2019.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
