In 1962, they met producer José de Almeida Neto, who helped them record their debut album 'Forró do Caboclinho.' Their song 'Puro Caboclo' became particularly well-known, a track that spoke to rural life in the Northeast.
They had some personal and financial difficulties over time, but their music, especially 'Puro Caboclo,' remained popular at festivals in Brazil.
